The Financial Literacy Initiative is a national platform to enhance financial education for individuals as well as small and medium sized enterprises in Namibia. The FLI was initiated by the Ministry of Finance in 2009 with support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The training that took place from the 18th of April 2016 till the 20th of April 2016 engaged the students from the Cultivating a Culture of Care (CHANGE) on how they can be responsive and critical with their financial competences.

Throughout the training, the students from CHANGE were trained in taking charge of setting up their own financial goals, drawing up budgets and defining their financial status. The training primarily encouraged them to use the knowledge and skills they have acquired during the training, and to explore the existing entrepreneurial opportunities that are available in the corporate industry.
